- Read through the details of the presentation carefully.
- Complete an evaluation of the Powerpoint presentation. To
do this effectively you will need to consult your notes, textbook and
use information provided in the bibliography. Does the presentation:
- Provide breadth of coverage?
- Provide succinct, accurate detail?
- Illustrate the events using photographs, archival footage,
documentary evidence, flow charts or maps?
- In groups, discuss your findings to the above questions. Develop
a strategy for improving the quality of the presentation.
- You will be asked to present your ideas to the other groups
within the class. Note any feedback offered as it will improve the effectiveness
of your completed presentation.
- As a group develop the powerpoint presentation. To aid you
in this, consider the following points:
- The presentation is aimed at a highly capable, academically
orientated audience.
- The presentation is intended to act as a prompt for a
lengthy presentation.
- The research can be broken into specific areas by the
team, enabling most effective use of time.
- The presentation will be delivered by the group.
- Identification of individuals roles within the group at
the outset provides clarity to your teams organisation and leads
to quality work being produced by agreed deadlines.

includes excellent maps of Norway, illustrating coastal defenses, fortifications,
cities and the course of the invasion. There are also useful timelines outlining
each strand of the invasion.

An excellent and thorough assessment of Operation Weserubung. This site analyses
the 'Trojan Horse' myth as well as exploring the nature of the offensive and
the reasons for German success.

A statistical look at the campaign. This site provides extensive details of
the naval echelons dispatched to Norwegian waters shortly before the invasion
proper began. There are details, again statistical, of the number of troops,
machines and vessels used in the campaign.

The History Learning Site offers a very helpful narrative account of the build
