ATOMIC BOMB

The atomic bomb is one of the most powerful and destructive bombs ever. It was the bomb used on Japan to force them into surrendering and eventually leading into peace. As a result of it being so extreme it killed many people in Japan which resulted in it leaving many people seriously injured and homeless. Japan had to build up totally from scratch-which is why it is so successful today! There were two types of bombs, hydrogen and nitrogen.

On the 6th of August,1946 the worlds very first atom bomb was dropped in the city of Hiroshima, it was dropped by an American B-29 bomber! It was described as a glaring pink light by a Japanese journalist which would burn peoples eyes! People within a mile of the bomb were instantly killed, around 90,000-120,000 were killed and the ones who survived in serious pain.

Another bomb was dropped by America three days later and this one killed around 60,000-80,000 people. On August 14 the two consecutive bombs led to Japan surrendering and leading to the end of World War 2.
