The build up to The First World War - 1914 February 1914 Russian politician Durnovo writes to the Tsar regarding the possible outbreak of war with Germany. He suggests that Britain would be unable to support Russia in a European conflict. Ominously for Tsarist Russia he also predicts that war with Germany would lead to a Socialist Revolution.
NOTE: Please remember that war did not break out across Europe until August of 1914. The months prior to the outbreak of war are included to illustrate the build up to the conflict: and as such contain much less interactivity. |
