The First World War - 1917

1917 sees Russia in turmoil as it endures two Revolutions; the Germans revive Unrestricted warfare in the Atlantic and the united States enters the war. The British make further advances in the Middle East and the bloodshed continues on the Western Front.

The largest pre-nuclear man made explosion. December 1917.
