The site will contain information
about all of the major events of the war in Europe.
It will also look at the impact of the War of local
areas, making use of local resources to present a
picture of what life was like on the Home front during
the war. Students will be researching and writing
the content over the course of the next 3 months,
with completed pages being uploaded as and when they
are declared fit for public eyes. The aim of this
project is to foster an interest in the local community,
develop an understanding of the reasons for changes
in the social and ethnic make up of modern society
whilst also contributing to the development of their
historical skills. Please assist them in their
studies by
sending in any memories, no matter how
vague, you may have of life in the second world war.
