History: Assessment for Learning This section of the site is being developed to include assessment tasks, recording methods and different opinions on how to assess different aspects of historical skills. Teachers are encouraged to contribute their own assessment tasks to this section, the more that is openly available to teachers, the better. We can all benefit from sharing resources and ideas. Record Sheets and Departmental Policies
National Curriculum levels for history Record Sheets Causation: This sheet is a simple tick sheet that can be used to quickly record the current attainment of students with regards Causation. Available as an excel file. Knowledge: Similar to the above sheet, this record sheet provides an easy to use format for recording students attainment with regards their historical knowledge. Using Sources: This excel file can be used as a simple tick sheet to record students attainment in the use of historical Sources. General resources: How to do well in history. Taken from a number of sources this sheet provides students with a range of practical tips on how to succeed in History. A useful reference point for students and teachers. Student Feedback Form. A feedback form devised to show students what their strengths and weaknesses were on a piece of work. Easy to use and great for maintaining on going records for individual students. Assessment record: an on-going record sheet for students in key stage 3. Easily amended to suit your assessments. Students and staff can quickly spot progression using this format.
